This is formidable and so inspiring. Perseverance goes a long way. I shall take note from this and apply it as we aim to push for change and attention from the British government as a Congolese community. We wan to put a stop to the holocaust of the Congo. Enough has been victim with little to no press coverage from the British media. As people, we now stand, ready more than ever to fight for our plight. I am thrilled that they are so many good-hearted individuals who are fighting for this cause. God bless you all. Best regards to everyone.

Thanks so much , Sister Lisa for all your inspiration. I was overwhelmed with the dedication and love I saw in you and Mother Ann and a few other friends last year when you all camped out in-front of the State Department asking for a Special Envoy for Congo and the Comprehensive Congo Plan in the severest of the cold temperatures. Later in the year , it was a week's fasting for the sake of the Congo sisters .Your sheer determination , hard work and love brings us to such a proud moment in history ( the appointment of the Special Envoy For Congo) . Love you , ever so much for that .

Yes , the Outcry For Congo campaign was so touching and a beautiful experience for me , my kids and my husband . I surely could feel the anguish of our Congo sisters who have long been asking for some help and support for the war to end . I therefore participated with all the empathy and compassion every-time my services were needed knowing somewhere inside of me that my littlest voice would be heard.

I am so happy to hear of the appointment of the Special Envoy for Congo. A very warm welcome to you , Rep Walkey. I hope you will work very very hard to help bring an end to the terrible genocide and conflict that has affected millions of lives and threatens the lives of so many women and their families .

Thank you ,
Richa.

Kudos and deepest gratitude to all of you who so wholeheartedly supported our Outcry for Congo campout last year (a year ago today) at the state department, and who posted so creatively for our virtual campaigns, and to all of those who joined us in hunger strikes (to Elizabeth Blackney, who awed us all with her 40-day hunger strike and got lots of press in the process,) and to all those who made phone calls to the White House, writing emails to your legislators!

You are all amazing and we love you.

On Friday, December 2, I hosted a Concert for Congo at Mary's Music Store in Clarksville, TN. I performed my original folk opera, which was narrated by Bella Sullivan. Singer-songwriter, Lydia Walker, performed original Christmas music. We raised enough donations to sponsor a third Congolese sister!
